2017 was an outstanding year for Aranlaw, Not only did CQC rate Aranlaw as outstanding, but Aranlaw was also nominated as Care Home of the year 2017 in the proud to care awards, Aranlaw was nominated by the relatives and I am pleased to announce that we were the winners of the category, one of the care staff was also a shortlisted finalist for the care worker of the year.
Both of these are great achievements and reflect the dedication of the staff to achieving the best for each and every resident.
It takes a strong and dedicated team to achieve a continuously high level of care. Here at Aranlaw House, we have a close network of managers, assistant managers, caregivers, specialist staff and support staff who all work together to make sure the residents here are always benefitting from a maximum sense of wellbeing.
The staff here are employed because of their caring nature. They have, through the induction process and subsequent hands-on training, demonstrated that they are capable of delivering care to a high standard.
We also operate a buddy system for all new employees. This ensures that each member of our team receives the support they need to comfortably provide the unique care that each resident requires.
Upon employment, all staff are given the opportunity to work towards their care certificate. They are also actively encouraged to progress through the company and gain additional qualifications to help boost the level of care that they practise.
